Following an article published by The Economist on 11 June 2026, and the subsequent repetition of some of its statements by Ukrainian media, PrJSC Novokramatorskyi Mashynobudivnyi Zavod would like to clarify the following:

The information regarding the alleged relocation of NKMZ to the city of Perechyn or to Zakarpattia region is not true.

PrJSC NKMZ is not relocating the enterprise to the city of Perechyn, is not transferring its production facilities there, and is not implementing any project to move the enterprise to Zakarpattia region.

We have great respect for all residents of Kramatorsk and Donetsk region who, because of the war, were forced to leave their homes and found a new home in other regions of Ukraine, including Zakarpattia. We sincerely wish them safety, support and success.

We ask representatives of the media and all those who prepare or disseminate information concerning PrJSC NKMZ to verify the facts and to contact the company’s authorised representatives for official comments.
